Meeting With Health Minister on Contaminated Blood

(November 08, 2010)

On Thursday 11 November Steve will attend an open meeting called by Health Minister Anne Milton to address the issues raised in a recent debate over contaminated blood and blood products.

Following concerted lobbying by various campaign groups, Mrs Milton has invited those affected - victims and their families - to ask questions via their Members of Parliament.

Steve - who spoke in the debate on 14 October - will accompany a constituent who was infected by contaminated blood following an NHS transfusion many years ago and who has long been fighting for proper and adequate recognition and compensation.

The contents of Steve's speech can be read in full.  Please go to the "In Parliament" page and click on the link.
