As part of Carers week 2013, Steve Rotheram MP attended and took part in a ‘bagpacking session’ situated at Sainsbury’s (Rice Lane, Walton), in order to raise vital funds for the Fazakerley Special Needs Project. A charity which is committed to supporting people of all ages with learning difficulties and disabilities and helping them achieve their potential, as well as providing activities and training.
During the fundraising events the Fazakerley Special Needs Project managed to raise a total of £720!
Steve has always had close ties with the Fazakerley Special Needs Project given his previous role as a Fazakerley Councillor and Lord Mayor. Talking about the FSNP and the event he said “I am always happy to help support such a worthwhile local charity and my thanks go to the generosity of all the constituents who selflessly donated on the day. I also pay tribute to the fantastic staff and volunteers of FSNP who do a fantastic job representing the charity.”
