You can't trust the Tories with the NHS

With the Local Elections just a few days away, Labour MP Steve Rotheram has called on Liverpudlians to vote for the NHS this Thursday, amidst one of the biggest crisises it has ever faced since it's inception.
Steve explained, "More patients in Liverpool are waiting longer, and there is a crisis in A&E – in the last 12 months, almost a million people have waited more than four hours to be seen; more people are having to wait on trolleys before being admitted; and more people are being kept in ambulance queues outside A&E.

"David Cameron scrapped Labour’s guarantee of a GP appointment within 48 hours – and now 60 per cent of patients say they can’t see their GP within two days. As if that wasn't bad enough, thousands of nurses and frontline staff have been lost from the NHS since Cameron became Prime Minister. Experts say that A&Es don’t have safe staffing levels with treatments such as cataract and knee operations are being rationed.

"The Tories are responsible for the crisis in our NHS. They wasted £3 billion and caused chaos with a damaging NHS reorganisation they promised wouldn’t happen. The result has been millions of pounds taken away from frontline patient care in hospitals such as Aintree, dangerous staff shift patterns with nurses forced to work more than 12-hour days, nearly 4,000 NHS managers being laid off and then rehired, many on six-figure salaries.

"David Cameron's reforms put private profits before patient care, tying hospitals up in competition law and this Thursday we should not let him get away with it. Give Labour your vote and vote for the NHS".
